Colthrop Village, Thatcham
A plan to provide new homes &
replace the level crossing
The Colthrop Village Consortium is promoting plans for a new development on land just to the south-east of Thatcham Station, between the River Kennet and the Kennet & Avon Canal.
As well as providing new homes and community facilities, the location of the site creates a unique opportunity to build a new road bridge to take traffic over the railway and the canal, enabling the permanent closure of the Thatcham level crossing.
